Ern Jensen Funerals have a proud 95 year history of guiding families through one of life’s most difficult and important periods, with sites in Preston and St Albans.

While ceremonies and funeral procedures are key to the work Ern Jensen undertakes, TekEquipment’s collaboration with the business to upgrade the funeral home’s embalming and body storage capabilities forms the backbone of the service companies such as Ern Jensen provide.

This project; early in TekEquipment’s history, involved the installation of multiple 5-tier racking columns - bringing the mortuaries storage capabilities up to 19 total bays. The 5-tier racking necessitated implementing two KUGEL ‘high-lift’ transport trolleys. To accommodate this increase in capacity, a custom designed coolroom was installed by TekEquipment alongside our refrigeration partners, complete with a large sliding access door and dedicated refrigeration service.

Once trays are removed from the racking, Jensen’s morticians are able to move trays at a stainless steel wet bench complete with low sink docking stations, wet safety edges, splash back, and easy-access front service panels providing access to hydroaspirators, water, and extension hoses.
